Hi,
I've started a blog devoted to digitization in libraries and allied institutions. The blog is open to anyone who is interested in digitizing content, with an emphasis on tools and techniques. Postings announcing new technologies (particularly software), trends in metadata, and government or consortial initiaves are welcome, as are pointers to new and innovative collections of digitized material.
This blog isn't intended to be a comprehensive directory of digitization resources but rather a central place to gather news relevent to people who manage/implement digitization projects (or who are about to do so). Even though there are several excellent sources of digitization news such as the DigiCULT Newsletter and RLG DigiNews (and this blog certainly isn't intended to replace them), there is a lack of space on the web where implementors can share ideas and useful pointers. I hope digitizationblog fills part of this gap.

Welcome in the
Welcome in the blogosphere!
For me there is no lack of information ABOUT digitization but about digitization projects and existing digital libraries worldwide (and not only in the angloamerican world).
The only current report on such efforts is the Ten Thousand Year Blog of Mr. Mattison and the category "Digitalisierung" in the German httP://log.netbib (I am the main contributor to this category).
There is no up-to-date link list for such projects. I am collecting links at
http://wiki.netbib.de
e.g.
http://wiki.netbib.de/coma/DigiMisc (in German) with further links to other pages in the same wiki like
http://wiki.netbib.de/coma/AlteDruckeDigital (in German)
or
http://wiki.netbib.de/coma/DigiSpain (in English)
Best wishes!
